Terms of Use

Effective date: November 1, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and BITMONT LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("BITMONT", "we", "us"), covering your use of the Thermae app and the Thermae service ("Thermae"). By creating an account or using Thermae, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Thermae.

Please read the safety section. Thermae lets you heat a sauna when you are not in the room. You are responsible for making sure your sauna is safe to heat every time you use it.

1. Your license to use Thermae

Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Thermae app on devices you own or control, to operate saunas you own or are authorized to operate. If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, your use is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and if you downloaded it from Google Play, to Google Play's terms.

You may not: copy, modify or reverse engineer the app except as the law allows; use Thermae to access or control a sauna without its owner's permission; interfere with or try to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts; or use Thermae for any unlawful purpose.

2. Your account

You need an account to use Thermae. Give us an accurate email address, keep your password private, and tell us at support@bitmont.co if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anyone you let use it. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.

3. Free trial, subscriptions and purchases

  • Thermae may offer a free trial. When it ends, you need a paid subscription or a one-time purchase to keep controlling your sauna with Thermae.
  • All purchases, trials and subscriptions are billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) through the account you used to buy them, and are subject to their terms.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your Thermae account does not cancel it.
  • If you cancel during a free trial, you are not charged. Unused portions of a trial are forfeited when you buy a subscription, where the store's rules allow.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We cannot issue refunds for store purchases directly.
  • We may change prices. A price change for a subscription applies from your next renewal, after the notice Apple or Google requires.
  • A "lifetime" purchase means access for as long as we operate Thermae, not for the lifetime of you or your sauna.

4. Safety

Saunas produce high heat. Using a sauna, and especially starting one remotely, carries real risks, including fire, burns, overheating, dehydration and damage to property. By using Thermae you agree to the following:

  • Follow the manufacturer. Always follow your sauna manufacturer's installation, safety and usage instructions, and any warnings on the sauna itself. Thermae does not replace them, and nothing in the app changes them.
  • Check before you heat. Before you start a session or set up a ritual, make sure the sauna is safe to heat: nothing on or near the heaters, no towels, clothing or flammable items inside, nothing blocking ventilation, and the sauna in good working order.
  • Remote and scheduled starts. When you start the sauna from somewhere else, or a ritual starts it for you, no one may be there to notice a problem. Only start it remotely when you are confident it is safe, and make sure no person or pet could be inside or exposed to the heat without your knowledge, especially children.
  • Limits are not a safeguard. Thermae caps the temperature at 176°F and sessions at 4 hours, and offers alerts. These features are conveniences, not safety systems, and they are not a substitute for supervision, the sauna's own protections, smoke detectors, or your own judgment. Alerts depend on your phone, your internet connection, and services outside our control, and may be delayed or not arrive.
  • Connectivity. Commands may be delayed or fail if your Wi-Fi, internet, phone or our service is unavailable. Do not rely on Thermae to turn a sauna off in an emergency; use the sauna's control panel or cut its power.
  • Health. Talk to a doctor before using a sauna if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, or take medication. Thermae does not provide medical advice.

5. Not affiliated with sauna makers; trademarks

Thermae is an independent product of BITMONT LLC. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or approved by Clearlight, Jacuzzi, or any other sauna manufacturer. Clearlight®, Jacuzzi® and other product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe which saunas Thermae works with.

Using Thermae with your sauna is your choice. While a sauna is set up with Thermae, it may not work with the manufacturer's own app until you re-run the manufacturer's setup. Thermae does not change your sauna's firmware. Questions about your sauna's warranty belong with its manufacturer or seller, and we do not make any promise about how using Thermae affects that warranty.

Thermae and the Thermae logo are trademarks of BITMONT LLC.

6. Changes to Thermae

We may add, change or remove features, and we may suspend or stop the service, with reasonable notice where we can give it. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.

7. No warranty

THERMAE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, BITMONT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT THERMAE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE, THAT IT WILL WORK WITH ANY PARTICULAR SAUNA, OR THAT COMMANDS, RITUALS OR ALERTS WILL ALWAYS BE DELIVERED OR CARRIED OUT. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY ABOUT YOUR SAUNA, WHICH IS MADE AND WARRANTED, IF AT ALL, BY ITS MANUFACTURER.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, BITMONT AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR PROPERTY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THERMAE OR YOUR SAUNA, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THERMAE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THERMAE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND US$50.

Some places do not allow some of these exclusions or limits, so they may not fully apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold BITMONT harmless from claims by others arising from your misuse of Thermae, your breach of these terms, or your operation of a sauna, to the extent allowed by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you and BITMONT consent to their jurisdiction, except where the law of your home country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

11. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them as part of a merger or sale of the business. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Thermae.

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and if the changes are significant we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Thermae after that means you accept the new terms.
